Responsibilities grow as we get older and we're expected to maintain a certain amount of seriousness: about school, work, relationships. But how serious must we be when it comes to sex? In a world where condoms are a must, STDs run rampant, and teenage pregnancy is a constant issue, it's hard to say that sex shouldn't be taken to a solemn level of maturity. Of course it should. However, just like this article, what fun is it without some humor and a few good-natured jokes? Much like a roller coaster, sex is intense but it isn't any good if you aren't having fun. There are two things in life that are almost guaranteed fun: Sex and laughter. Maybe it's time to join these two euphoric activities into one. Plato said that laughter is the language of the soul. Some romantics on campus believe sex is a sacred act that means two souls (or three as the case may be) are intertwined in a deep connection. Even philosophically thinking, this theory of laughing your way to a healthy libido seems to make sense. Some females around campus revealed that they are filled with too many feelings and questions when it comes to sex to really let loose. If anxiety is cramping your sex-life and you find yourself questioning everything that has to do with the bedroom, maybe its time to laugh a little. Some men believe that the laugh of a female is sexy and charming. So what's wrong with finding some humor in your weekend rendezvous to lighten things up? If the reason you're attracted to someone is because of their smile and sense of humor, do you really want them to feign seriousness for a roll in the hay? They say that laughter is the best medicine. Does this well-known saying work in the mind-entangling world of the erotic as well? Decidedly yes I'd say, judging from the often funny and sometimes downright hysterical (though sometimes crude) pleasure enhancing games and toys that are on the market today. Hop onto some websites like www.edibleecstasy.com, a popular New England sex toy party company and see what I mean. Companies like this, while advocating safe sex, intimacy and discretion, also believe in the power of laughter to enhance any sex life. Of course there is a time for everything, so laughing when your guy drops his drawers may not be the ideal timing to enjoy a chuckle.
